Katie King
Client Care Coordinator, CADC I
I believe that therapy and recovery are most effective when grounded in empathy, trust, and collaboration.
In sessions, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel comfortable exploring their challenges and strengths. My approach is human-centered and trauma-informed, supporting clients as they build resilience, self-sufficiency, and meaningful change.
As a dedicated Client Care Coordinator and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I am passionate about walking shoulder-to-shoulder with individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. As a mother and a service driven individual, I’ve always been motivated by a deep desire to help others feel seen, supported, and capable of transformation. My work with youth has been especially meaningful. I have a huge heart for young people—seeing them turn their lives around, reclaim their confidence, and discover their potential is one of the greatest joys of my career. My own life experiences have shaped a counseling style rooted in empathy, authenticity, and genuine human connection. I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and empowered, and I strive to create that environment with every person I meet. Whether supporting youth or adults, my goal is always to meet people where they are and walk with them toward the life they deserve.
My passion comes from both personal and professional experiences that showed me the impact compassion and guidance can have on a person’s life. Supporting both youth & adults from all walks of life, as they grow and overcome obstacles is what keeps me dedicated to this work. When Insight Northwest Recovery arrived in our community, I was excited by the vital services it provides. It’s truly a privilege to contribute to its mission and support individuals and families in meaningful ways.
To maintain balance and creativity in my life, I spend time caring for plants, gardening, cooking, and engaging in various art and craft projects. I find joy in nature—whether kayaking, collecting unique rocks, or exploring new places with my kids—and I occasionally embrace the thrill of skydiving.
