I believe in utilizing a person-centered approach, incorporating authenticity and empathy to discover and uncover needs while implementing a solution driven positive focused approach to change.

I believe in creating safe spaces for individuals by focusing on strength-based, individual-centered interventions and implementations. I believe in meeting every individual where they are and providing supportive and encouraging environments in which you can identify your area of focus. From there we can work as a team to create a plan to work towards your version of success.

I believe that we are all going through life for the first time and the environments we are part of heavily impact the energy we displayed to the world. My passion for counseling and youth treatment comes from my background within the mental health workforce as well as family experiences working with youth and adults of underserved population sparked my passion for advocacy and care. I believe everyone has a voice, and if individuals are provided a safe space to express their concerns and healthy work through their emotions. They can then create safe spaces within their community by being an example. My passion for therapy comes with my passion for authenticity when you are able to discover who you are as a person you can then make better informed decisions that will lead to your future, happiness and success.

I believe in providing safe spaces by focusing on strength-based, individual-centered interventions and implementations using your continued input. I believe in meeting every individual whre they are and utilizing their own voice as a catalyst for change within their lives. By creating a nurturing, supportive, and encouraging environment you can identify the areas in your life you view as important and work towards change. I firmly belive that evry individual should be alloted the time, empathy, and resources they believe can assist them towards ther version of success. As such my passion comes from advocating for the saftey, health, and happiness of the individuals I get to assist.

There is only one you in the world and I believe in offering every individual a safe space to discover who they truly are and who they want to become.

When not in the therapeutic setting I enjoy dancing, hiking, coloring, nature, and cooking.

Professional Background

I graduated from Walden University with my Master’s in Human and Social Services with a concentration in mental health facilitation. I am currently working on a dual Master’s in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Family Therapy and School Counseling. I believe in utilizing a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to provide tailored interventions and implementations that feel most comfortable for those involved. I have worked within hospital, outreach, and agency settings with ages 7 years old and above. My experience includes Applied Behavioral Analysis, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and therapeutic advocation. I also have experience with the military population not only coming from a military family background but also being contracted through the Army as an advocate for the mental health support of the family members of those within our active duty communities. My years of experience include clinical therapy for individuals with multiple mental health diagnoses, as well as concerns with substance use and abuse.
